Centamin Expects Sukari Gold Production to Drop 42% in Q4 2020


Centamin has announced that it expects its gold production from Sukari Gold Mine to decrease by about 42 percent during the fourth quarter of the year, after the company halted operations on the back of the pandemic.

The company reportedly said that it expects a decrease in gold production from Sukari Gold Mine in the last three months of 2020 to about 70,000 ounces (1,984 kilograms).

During the first three quarters of the year, Centamin's gold production from the mine was about 375,000 ounces (10,631 kilograms).

Centamin's overall production target for this year has been slashed by 520,000 ounces (14,743 kilograms).
